Our Story

Sociii founders, having overcome significant challenges and adversity, have brought together their unique experiences and aspirations to create Sociii with a shared purpose.

Empowering individuals and communities to build an equitable society where everyone belongs and thrives.

We are committed to addressing societal constraints, such as financial limitations, limiting behaviours, social beliefs, and ineffective systems, to build more secure futures and better housing for families so that they can grow and prosper within their communities.

Meet Our Board

Nick Cave

Director

Nick grew up in a single-parent household in social housing and experienced firsthand the impact these environments can have on children. With conviction and determination, he built a life for himself that was vastly different from the one he grew up in—yet always remained committed to helping other families facing similar circumstances and empowering them to change their lives for the better.

David Myles

Director

David Myles is a former professional rugby league player, a current board member of the Cowboys NRL Club, and the founder of Gutter Knight.

David’s early years were marked by frequent relocations and the challenges of growing up with a distant single parent—an experience that was often lonely and unsettling. At age nine, he moved into a more supportive family environment, which provided the stability and encouragement that helped him pursue a successful career in sports and later, in business.

Having faced adversity firsthand, David is deeply committed to helping others overcome childhood trauma and setbacks to create the life they aspire to. His expertise in scaling businesses through teamwork, culture, and smart systems is invaluable to Sociii’s mission and its charitable initiatives.

Natalie Shaw

Director

With over 25 years in marketing and media, Natalie co-founded global e-learning company, etrainu, and tech company yomstar and is currently Managing Director of yomconnect – a digital first marketing agency with a strong focus on client strategy, performance delivery and community engagement. Natalie is passionate about family and community, supporting a number of not-for-profit organisations and is a champion for supporting and empowering people to find their path and be the best they can be. She joined Sociii, believing that through the organisation’s commitment to social change that we will make a genuine difference in women’s lives and the lives of their children and families.

Roslyn (Roz) Vecellio

Program Manager

Roz brings both heart and experience to her role as Program Manager at Sociii. As a single mum who has walked her own journey of resilience, she understands firsthand the challenges many of our participants face.

With deep compassion, lived experience and powerful coaching tools, Roz supports mums as they rebuild confidence, work through past adversity and step into the next chapter of their lives with clarity and purpose.

Her mission is simple yet profound: to help women rediscover their strength, believe in their worth, and create a future filled with confidence, stability and hope.

We are incredibly proud to have Roz guiding and supporting the mums within the Sociii community.
